The Motorola DSR530 combines a full-featured, over-the-air digital
receiver for Star Choice satellite service with an advanced HDTV
decoder and digital video recording (DVR) functionality. It delivers
dazzling high-definition programming, an easy-to-use menu, and advanced interactive capabilities. In addition to the standard audio and video ports, the DSR530 has connections to deliver data services, and receive MPEG-2 transport streams.
The DSR530 also includes a hard disk drive that allows users to record programs for later viewing as well as pause and resume live programming. The DSR530’s enhanced viewer menu system contains an interactive program guide (IPG) that provides extensive program information to help viewers plan for the week or weekend ahead.
